The Queen Bee brooch was exhibited in Brooching it Diplomatically: A Tribute to Madeleine K. Albright at The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu, HI in 1998, and in Beyond Bling: Jewelry from the Lois Boardman Collection at LACMA, Los Angeles, CA from 2016-2017.

Brooching it Diplomatically honored U.S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, who often wore brooches to convey diplomatic messages. A group of sixty-one international artists created pieces inspired by Albright’s jewelry-centered diplomacy.
